More Options

I just discovered that MySpace upped their allowed track count from four to six. This means that "Rinse" and "Choir Extinguisher" are back up on the profile page, hurray.

The audio quality is lackluster at best (MySpace needs to take a cue from Fuzz), but you can add them to your profile should you have the inkling. Much appreciation to everyone doing so btw. Enjoy!

With that aside, everything is going well. Between baby and work not a lot of studio time but I have picked up a guitar in the last two months. Maybe some self sampling is in order for my next effort, if I can figure the whole stringed instrument thing out.

Profile Updates

The tracks on the MySpace profile player have been rotated, "Fall Off" and "Giant Robot" are now available for adding to your profile should you have the desire to do so.

Fuzz and Last.fm have also been updated with tracks and content. Is there anywhere else you would like to see a Subside profile or page? Let me know.

I couldn't be happier with how much the album is being heard. With no label or company pushing it for me, positive words and recommendations coming from you are where most of the listeners come from. So thank you very much!

If you haven't yet, please tell somebody about the album; your friends, a forum, your local club dj or your grandma.

Peace.

Subside on Fuzz

Fuzz.com is live now so go check out the Subside profile there.

subside.fuzz.com

Oh yeah and this was so damn cool. Last week I was surprised to find "Rinse" climbed to the top of the tracks chart along side some really talented bands like Pinback. The stay on the charts was brief but was just plain badass.

Sign up, check it out and add me, its a really fun way to find some new music. Peace!

Ups and Such

The album has been received really well since launch, I am very happy with the way things are going thus far.

So thank you for downloading, listening and sending your thoughts. I couldn't have done it without you and all that. Thanks to everyone who requested a CD too, the by-request stack from the promotional batch was emptied out much quicker than I was expecting.

I'll be ramping up the MySpace page promotion soon also. Head over and drop a comment if you are a friend and if not, head over and add me already.

Thank you for the support, peace!

Outset Release

The new album is done and posted! Eight tracks including a couple remixes, a little bit of down tempo and a lot of fast, psychedelic thumping.

I had a lot of fun producing Outset over the past two years and hope you enjoy the tracks as well.

Along with the album release comes the new site, you can stream and download individual tracks or the whole album. Dont forget to drop me an email or MySpace comment and let me know what you think.

Peace!

Album Update

Just a quick update on the new album. The composing is sooo done, I have been working on the last down tempo track and the two remixes for a solid month. Time to mix down and master, eight, count them eight tracks!

Still a lot of work ahead but mid October looks like its still on track. I mentioned in my last post that I would be releasing it via a new version of the Subside site at a new domain. I also wanted to add that I am planning on a small CD pressing for when the bandwidth gets out of hand and for anyone who "likes to hold the books".

If anyone knows of a good duplicating company that does short runs let me know as I have never pressed anything before.

Till October, peace!

Album Announcement

Whats going on everybody? I have good news, some of you know already but for those who don't I am making the official announcement, you know to build tension and hype and all that.
So here it is...

Subside | Outset
OCTOBER 2006

I have been working on a full length album for the past year and it is getting close to completion. I figured after finishing track seven of the planned eight this was a good time to let people know. It will release via a new version of this site which by then will hopefully be on its own server with its own domain.

The album will contain a bunch of brand new tracks as well as long overdue remixed and remastered versions of Connected and Its Open. A little down tempo a lot of fast drilling craziness but all psy.

See you in October, peace!

Jiu-Jitsu Wrist Attack

So we just got back yesterday from the Bay Area trip and it was way cool, except for being crazy sore from guesting into Charles' Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practice. I guess I did alright, the instructor taught me a few basics then thought it was funny to spar me against Charles, it went swell until he slipped me into an arm bar and that wasn't so cool. Before rolling with Charles I only had time to learn how to attack opponents wrists, so yeah I am like a wrist assassin now.

I had a completely awesome time though overall. The Elephant Bar was sweet, I had totally been missing everyone a whole lot, getting back on the plane on Tuesday I felt very refreshed. I don't know if thats the right word, I don't mean like showering under a waterfall refreshed but just that general everything is good feeling. Got to meet some cool new people as well.

So quick thanks to everyone who was able to make it out to us, I know we missed a lot of people who were out of reach or out of town so I cant wait to see you guys when we get back down again. Major thanks to Kara and Carlos, Kristy and Charles for the hospitality.

Oh yeah I upped some pics from the trip too. Peace!

Nonviolent

New track is up, "Nonviolent". Lots of drones and more dancy than usual. This is also my first fully mastered track so I was able to pack in way more volume than previous tracks, it should be closer to commercial track volume now :).

You can find it in the SOUNDS area. If you are looking for streaming (56k still? cmon now) it's posted on the Subside MySpace page as well.

MySpace is great and all but their streaming compression makes the high end kind of tinny, actually a lot tinny, it hurts sometimes.

As usual, hit up the shoutbox ---> and let me know what you think. Peas!
